Superbowl Sunday and the basketball action was fast and exciting at the Eagle Rock Small Gym. Gametime was 1:20 and a devoted crowd of 30 supporters cheered a great game between the Dodger’s Hurricanes and the Bruin’s Defenders. Both teams are improving greatly on defense with Enzo Fong showcasing good defensive presence. Takeshi Chavez hit the first basket of the game and led the way on his team with 2 first half baskets! Way to go Takeshi. Not to be outdone, Andrew Shaklin of the Dodgers made a great basket from 12 feet. Swish!. Deven Salazar of the Bruins played great overall with hustle and court smarts. The second half came down to a battle of the 23′s. Both Takaji Robson and Kyle Chung played great with rebounds, tough defense and smart offense. Great game teams. Looking forward to next week!
